I catch up on preparations for one of Bali's biggest festivals then try a spring roll-type street food I haven't tried before to be pleasantly surprised by its taste. We meet and chat with a family of stall owners selling offerings and baskets to locals and they explain how many baskets they make in a day and when they find time to make them. I talk about the only real safety concern I have in Bali as I weave my way through dense traffic, being forced out onto the road by stall owners and their patrons that spill out of the shop space taking over the footpath. Finally, i pick up some bananas and my rice packets for the day from my regular locals that I buy from. A great morning walk.
