Pastor Keith Hughes Celebration Church Cocoa Beach FL Isaiah 9:6 The Gift That gives, and Jesus Christ is that Gift, that continues to give unto us. Jesus Christ, He is the Gift, continues to give unto us, after the Christmas season, throughout all the seasons. Ephesians 2:8-9 Not of our works but a gift from God, and that gift from God is Jesus Christ. Who offers unto us is Salvation. Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death, but however, we can receive the gift from God, which is Christ Jesus, we receive in that gift, eternal life. Isaiah 9:6 KJV The first two is Jesus is the Wonderful Counselor, meaning He is Omniscient. Jesus knows All things. And Jesus is the Mighty God. Meaning is Omnipotent. Jesus is All Powerful. And God Providence is God’s wisdom, is to determine or bring about a resolution. And Wisdom is God’s Light in the midst of Darkness. Jesus' counselor brings us instructions and directions and corrections so, that life would work out on our behalf. Jesus is the Everlasting Father. Omnipresent. Meaning His Present. God is present with us. When God gave His Son to the world, one of His names that was given to us was Emmanuel. And that name means God with us. Doing this holiday season, God is with us, God is near and God was you and I to feel His Present. God is the “Everlasting Father.” God is likened to air. And what that means is, people say they believe in God but just don’t see God. Well, just like air, you don’t see air, but air is everywhere. And if you ever remove the air, you will know it, because you suffocate and die. God is, He is Present, Omnipresent. The Everlasting Father. Just like air God is everywhere, and although you don’t see God, you can feel God. And if God's presence is removed from your life, you can suffocate and eventually die. I’m talking about dying Spiritually, before physically. We have appreciated the Omnipresent of God. God is this gift that continually gives. God gives us His present, and by way of the Holy Spirit, who is called the comforter. And God will never leave us, nor will God forsake us. Hebrews 13:5 God is in tune and most importantly God is InTouch with where you are. So, it is very important that we “All” receive this gift. Father, don’t think about in the sense of Father God. But in the Hebrew term father it meant Originator or Origin. So, Jesus, He is the Originator or Origin. So, Jesus, along with God Origin of time. And many people feel like they are running out of time. My best years are behind me. But to understand that Jesus is the Everlasting Father is to know that not only that we have time, but beyond time, we have eternity. Jesus is the Everlasting. Jesus is Originator or Origin he is the Father of time and Jesus has eternity in His very being. Exodus 3:2-14 I AM because I AM. Or I Will Be that I Will Be. And another way of saying that is, God is “Yahweh Jehovah” God is Self-Existing. God does not have to link up with anyone or anything to Exist. Hebrews 11:6 That means that God Exists, not only does God Exist Now, but God always Existed, before time began. God, He is the controller of time. And many people feel like they have to put God on a deadline or have God operate on their timetable. Now, if you are going to bring God on your timetable, make sure you put God at the Head of your table! Because God is not governed by time. And God is not restricted by a deadline. No, God is before time! God created time! Before Jesus was born, we called it B.C. Before Christ. The events that occur before the birth of Jesus, time moved backward. Jesus Christ was born; we went to B.C. to A.D. “Adonai” or Anno Domini. The Year of our Lord. Jesus Christ, He split our calendar in half from the mere existence of Him until now. But we still go according to B.C., and A.D and everything that occurred after Jesus' birth, and time no longer went backward, but went forward. After the birth of Jesus, time moved forward. This tells me life without God is Backward. But life with God, it moves Forward. And this is what God wants us to know: He is the Everlasting Father. He is the same yesterday, today and forever more. God is in the past, and God is in the present, and God is in currently in the future. Joshua 10:12-14 Because God can control time. God is the Everlasting Father. And since God is the originator of time, and God takes us into eternity, knowing that when our life concludes here, our life is not over, that we have eternity to live, and when we live, we live with God. And this is what Jesus promised to us. God is making room for you and I in heaven, you and I can be with the Everlasting Father, through time into eternity. All things. Jesus is the Mighty God. Omnipotent, is All Powerful. He is the Everlasting Father. Omnipresent. God is with us. The Gift That Gives!
