A moment of calm, the OrganArtMedia Steinmeyer 👇 👉 Here's a playlist of other organ favorites: • ✨ "Fiat Lux" ✨ Théodore Dubois | Hauptwerk... Sampleset: https://www.organartmedia.com/en/1925... Sir Charles Villiers Stanford's The Blue Bird, composed in 1910, is one of his most celebrated part-songs, written for unaccompanied choir. Set to a poem by Mary Elizabeth Coleridge, it captures a serene, ethereal beauty, evoking the peaceful flight of a bird over a still lake. The delicate, floating soprano line mimics the soaring bird, while the lower voices provide a calm, sustaining backdrop that mirrors the stillness of nature. I think this organ arrangement by John Scott Whiteley paired with Blackburn Cathedral's amazing accoustic, strings, and flutes brings this to life in a wonderful way.
