Sometimes, the fact that many people connive to speak evil of you does not make them right. Acts 28:21-22 • The Jewish elders set a day for them to hear Paul concerning this new belief. Paul used the Old Testament to teach the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah, the fulfillment of God's promises. Some heard and believed, while others did not. Acts 28:23-24 • The Jewish elders did not agree amongst themselves. This fulfilled the prediction of the prophets and of Jesus who came to bring division (Mat_10:34-36). Division is caused by men because some will not believe and others will. All heard the Word alike, but all did not show a like attitude of faith in it; all saw the same thing that Paul set before them, but all did not choose to believe it. The responsibility is with the people and not with God or His Word. All can believe and accept it alike if they want to. No man is forced to do this by God. If he does it, it is man submitting to Satan and not to God (2Co_4:4). It is, therefore, a human and satanic action in rebellion against God and His Word. Acts 28:25-27 • Paul confronted the Jewish leaders with the fact that the gospel was being preached to the gentiles and that they were accepting it in large numbers. This was necessitated by the refusal of the gospel by the Jews. Sometimes, it is only when a door has closed that new ones get opened, let us not be found fighting God's will in our lives. Acts 28:28-29 • Paul remained in Rome under confinement in a rented house for two years (Act_28:30). There sat the greatest apostle and spokesman for Christianity—unable to move freely and minister as he desired. However, Paul didn't complain or despair. He simply did what he could. Able to receive visitors, he taught, preached, and counseled even while he was confined to quarters. Acts 28:30-31 Personal supplication/ Prayer Requests/Praise Reports Father in the name of Jesus, frustrate the token of lies, destroy the power of divination, turn the wisdom of the wise backward, and make foolish their knowledge against my destiny. Is 44:25 25  That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, And maketh diviners mad; That turneth wise men backward, And maketh their knowledge foolish; Daily Favour Declaration I decree in the name of Jesus, from this moment forward, I see myself the way God sees me. I am highly favoured of the Lord. I am crowned with glory and honour. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am reigning as a king in life through the one man Jesus Christ the messiah. Now in Jesus name, I declare by faith that I walk in divine favour, I have preferential treatment, supernatural increase. I have restoration, I have prominence, I have petitions granted, laws changed, policies and rules changed, and battles won, which I do not have to fight all because of favour. The blessing and favour of God is on my life. In Jesus name, every morning, when I arise, I would speak and expect divine favour to go before me and surround me as with a shield, with goodwill and pleasures forevermore. Doors are now open for me that men said are impossible to open. No obstacles can stop me, no hindrances can delay me. In Jesus name, I am honoured by my Father, as I receive genuine favour that comes directly from God. I am special to Him, I am the object of His affection, I am the apple of His eyes, I am blessed and highly favoured of the Lord. Everyone and everything shall work to favour me. Angels Goodness and Mercy shall accompany me in all my ways. It is written with long life will God satisfy me and show me his salvation. Therefore, I declare that I shall not die but live to declare the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I declare over me and my household today that the yoke and burden of death over us is broken. So shall it be for me and my household today in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen!
