Sunny Adeniyi Ministries Presents Power To Triumph - Streamed Live on February 18, 2026 To support our ministry, donate online at www.sunnyadeniyi.org OR send e-mail transfer to sunnyadeniyi@gmail.com SCRIPTURE READING FOR Today 1 Sam 2:30 AMP 30 Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, says, I did promise that your house and that of your father [forefather Aaron] should go in and out before Me forever. But now the Lord says, Be it far from Me. For those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. The Word of God To Meditate On Today Reading 1 Sam 2:30 AMP. Devotional Title: “The God Who Honors Back” Insights: 1) God’s Promises Are Not Weak, But They Are Covenant-Conditional - This verse shocks many people because it sounds like God “changed His mind.” But what’s really happening is this: God’s promise was never a license for rebellion. Eli’s house was given priestly privilege, but privilege without reverence becomes abuse.God is not unstable. But covenant is relational, not mechanical.Meaning: God does not bless “a family name.” He blesses a posture of honor. That’s why God said:“I did indeed say…”But also said:“But now… Far be it from Me…”Deep truth: God can withdraw what He granted when what He granted becomes an instrument of dishonor.-- 2) Honor Is a Spiritual Currency That Buys Back Lost Ground - God didn’t say, “Those who work hard I will honor.”He said:“Those who honor Me I will honor.Honor is more than respect. In Scripture, honor is weight. It means you treat God as heavy, serious, and supreme—not casual.Eli’s sons treated holy things as common. They stole offerings, abused authority, and turned worship into entertainment. And Eli tolerated it.So God reveals a kingdom principle:When you honor God, He puts your name in rooms you didn’t qualify for.But when you despise Him, He makes your name light—meaning your voice loses weight.-- 3) The Most Dangerous Sin in Ministry Is Not Failure, It Is Familiarity - This is uncommon but very real: Eli’s house did not fall because they didn’t know God.They fell because they got too used to God.They lived around the altar daily, but they lost awe. This is one of the most frightening truths in Scripture:You can serve God publicly and still despise Him privately. You can be close to sacred things and still be far from the Sacred One.And God says:“Those who despise Me will be scorned…”Meaning: when you treat God as small, God will allow life to treat you as small.-- 4) In closing, God is not looking for perfect people—He is looking for honoring people. Because in the Kingdom, honor is not decoration. Honor is protection. When you honor God, God honors you.And when God honors you, no devil can reduce you.
