COMMENT: Daytime Ending theme The song that plays during daytime endings. It definitely makes me think of shrines. Actually, this is the most shrine-maiden-ish song here, isn't it? See, doesn't this kind of song always play for shrines and shrine maidens in eroge? (lol) No idea ZUN, but now that you've mentioned (?) it, I'm kinda curious to see that. That, if I can find any eroge with a shrine maiden in it, because I've never played one in my life. Yeah, despite being this absolute loser gooner that I am, I've never even considered playing eroge. I prefer just seeing stuff instead. Multitasking is hard (pun maybe intended). Now that I made you regret being able to read, it's time I actually say something about the track. It's a pretty short one, but again, we have more than one ending track in this game. To explain it better, this one plays according to the kind of character you chose to play as. I can't remember the exact ones off my head, but this plays for Reimu, Marisa, Kotohime and maybe for Ellen. I mean, it does fit with her, right? And so for the rest, there's a night time ending theme that plays for those. So, what else is there? The fact that this song uses so few of the YM2608 channels. Only 6 of them, really? None of the PC-98 Touhou tracks ever use the last 2 Rim Shot and ADPCM channels of that chip already, and now we have this. It's actually impressive how less than 16 sound channels are already more than enough for ZUN to make bangers. However, this one is a little repetitive. And I guess also just a little too short for an ending theme on this game. The endings are a lot longer than their themes, which is kinda weird. Or maybe in the English translation you end up spending more time reading stuff, because of how crap our writing system is. Maybe I should try the Japanese version to see if there's actually less text to read, and thus matching the track's length. Who knows.
