Welcome to Sizzle With Spice! In today’s video, we’re making Dates and Dry Fruits Barfi Ramadan Special Dry Fruits Barfi is a healthy and naturally sweet treat made with mixed dry fruits and dates. It gives quick energy and is perfect for iftar, keeping you nourished after fasting. Ingredients : Mixed dry fruits Almonds - 100 g Cashews - 100g Walnuts - 100g Pistachios - 100g Fig - 100g Dates (seedless) – 500 g Ghee – 1–2 tbsp Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp Instructions: Step 1: Heat the base Heat a heavy-bottom pan on low flame. Add 1 tbsp ghee and let it melt (do not overheat). Step 2 : Cook dry fruits Add mixed dry fruits (almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts) on very low flame. Roast it till it becomes golden brown. Step 3 : Cook dates paste Add the grounded dates and fig paste to the pan. Stir continuously on low flame for 3–4 minutes. Step 4 : Add dry fruits Add roasted dry fruits. Mix well so dates coat all dry fruits evenly. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly. Step 4: Flavoring Add cardamom powder. Mix and cook for 1 minute more. Step 5: Check readiness The mixture should: Come together like soft dough Not stick to the pan Feel slightly firm when pressed. Transfer to a greased tray, spread evenly, and flatten. Let it cool for 6 hrs , then cut into pieces. Tips No sugar needed (dates give natural sweetness). For richer taste, add a little rose water or saffron.
