Here's one of my favorite KDK table fans from the early 70s, and also my first 70s timer equipped Matsushita table fan! When I first saw it at my local thrift store, I immediately fell in love with it, you could say it was love at first sight! I asked the owner if he was willing to let it go, since there isn't a price tag labeled on it and they were using it themselves. Since the owner of my local thrift store happened to be an old friend of mine, he agreed to sell it to me for a reasonable price (RM130, around $27 USD), thus I got to finally bring it home! This fan has the usual signs of wear and tear for a fan of its age. There is a slight issue with this fan, i.e. the neck securing screw has stripped. According to @DewaldV84, this is a common issue with Matsushita fans from this era. The cage is also a bit bent, as you can see in the video. Nevertheless, it still runs like a charm! This is what I love about vintage Matsushita fans, their build quality is just so excellent and superb! It is a bit slower compared to my 1980 National F-40NMK, but it's still a very powerful fan regardless! Since it also came equipped with the "Powerful Classic Motor" (a nickname for the motors used on these fans coined by me and @TheMatsushitaMan). I really love the designs of late 60s-early 70s Asian/Japanese fans, especially their cage sets. They're what I love to call "Fusion Cages", since they maintained the "cobweb-styled" rear cages of the 50s-mid 60s "oriental lantern cage" fans, while having the newer "classic cage" styled front cage! The 1972 KDK T Series (and their counterpart National C Series) were the final models to be fully sold in Malaysia with the fusion cage, since the more modern looking "classic cage" was introduced in the following year, 1973. Apart from that, it was the final year in which Malaysian market KDK fans used "K" as their market identifier that is shared with their international counterparts, as Matsushita started implementing the "M" market identifier for Malaysia since 1973.
