What do you do when you honestly feel like you have nothing left—no energy, no strength, no hope, and no words? In this sermon, “Nothing Left,” Michael Gobran takes us into the Bible to see how God meets people when they reach their limits. He walks through six “nothing left” stories and shows a pattern: when we run out, our normal survival strategies start to collapse. 1- No room left (Mary and Joseph): there was no space in the inn, so Jesus was born in a stable—open, vulnerable, and honest. 2- No strength left (David at Ziklag): David and his men wept until they had no strength left, and David found strength in the Lord. 3- No chance left (feeding the 5,000): five loaves and two fish is not enough—until Jesus receives what’s there, gives thanks, and provides. 4- No faith left (Elijah): after victory, Elijah crashes. God meets him with care—food and rest—before giving direction. 5- No hope left (the widow): she thinks she will eat and die, but she stops withholding, and God gives enough. 6-No breath left (Jesus on the cross): silence follows, until resurrection proves silence cannot hold Him. The key takeaway: “Nothing left” doesn’t mean nothing is there—it often means the room is full. We don’t force space for God; we stop filling the room with hiding, pretending, controlling, rejecting care, withholding, and noise.
