Vehicular Networks rely on a wireless communication technology known as DSRC (Dedicated Short-Radio Communication) or WAVE (Wireless Access in Vehicular Environment), which was specified by IEEE802.11p, and now part of the 802.11. In ns3, a net device type called WaveNetDevice is used to implement WAVE. This is a basic example of using WaveNetDevice to send WSMP packets, and gives you control over the transmission parameters such as data rate, transmission power, and setting QoS priority. Feel free to ask me any questions by commenting on this video. Downloading the Code =================== I share the code for this example on my github repository under examples/WaveTest the repository is on this link https://github.com/addola/NS3-HelperS... The repository also contains some helper ns3 scripts written in python to make running & re-running your ns3 program a breeze (I will talk about that later) You can download the files from the web, or use "git clone" git clone https://github.com/addola/NS3-HelperS... Copy the directory "WaveTest" to your ns3 scratch directory so that you have $NS3_ROOT/scratch/WaveTest and then run it using the waf tool ./waf --run WaveTest PayPal Donations are appreciated, but please don't do it if you're broke. You don't owe me anything: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr...
