If you’ve been living in survival mode, you know how draining it is. Waking up anxious, always waiting for the next bad thing, never truly feeling safe in your own body. I know this because I lived it too. As a daughter of an alcoholic, survival mode was my default setting. But here’s what I discovered: survival mode is not who you are, it’s simply a state your body learned to live in. And with the right awareness and practices, you can teach your nervous system how to feel calm, safe, and at home again. Growing up as a child of an alcoholic (COA) impacts every part of your life, your relationships, self-worth, nervous system, mental health, and much more. As a Trauma-Informed Mindbody Practitioner and a fellow COA, I fully understand the guilt, shame, and unresolved childhood trauma that come with having an alcoholic parent. The more you develop self-awareness and increase your knowledge, the easier it will be to break free from dysfunctional patterns and reclaim your inner power. If you’re ready to go from “What is wrong with me?” to feeling proud, empowered, and in control of your life, let's work together.
