The jump rope straddle looks a lot like a jumping jack from the waist down. It's comprised of two distinct movements: taking the legs apart on the first revolution of the rope and then bringing them back together on the second revolution of the rope. We like the straddle because it helps to improve abduction and adduction and is a good move for athletes who spend a lot of time in the frontal plane.
