Prof. Dr. Johan Sundström and Dr. Ollie Östlund discuss personalized therapy in arterial hypertension, focusing upon their landmark PHYSIC study, which compared individual responses to different antihypertensive drugs in uncomplicated hypertension. PHYSIC has been published on 11th April, 2023, in JAMA. Dr. Sundström is Professor at the Department of Medical Sciences, Clinical Epidemiology at Uppsala University, and conjoint professor at the George Institute for Global Health in Sydney. Dr. Östlund is a PhD in mathematics and Expert Statistician in the Biostatistics group at Uppsala Clinical Research Center (UCR), a collaboration between Uppsala University and Uppsala University Hospital.
