It has been so long since we visited another abbey. Luckily Catalonia has a few remarkable ones. We start out here at Vallbona de les Monges. The abbey was founded in the 12th and a monastic community of nuns have been living here for over 800 years. Some of the best features in the abbey are its diverse decorations ranging across different architectural styles. The Romanesque wing of the cloister is absolutely amazing.
