This one pan dinner mixes meat, cheese, potatoes and vegetables in a comforting, simple and satisfying meal. Make it your own with whatever ingredients and flavors you like tonight! Sausage and Pierogi Skillet Five in 25 Serves 3-4 Five Ingredients 1 box frozen pierogies (about 12-15) 12 oz kielbasa or other cooked sausage 2 bell peppers 1 Vidalia onion Seasoning blend of choice From the Pantry 2 T olive oil 2 garlic cloves, minced Cut the bell peppers and onion into bite size pieces. Do the same for the sausage. Add 1 T olive oil to a large pan over medium heat. Add the sausage followed by the peppers and onions. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Add garlic to the pan. Cook until peppers begin to soften and brown, 4-5 minutes. Remove everything from skillet. Add remaining tablespoon of olive oil and add pierogies. Toss in the hot oil and cook for 2-3 minutes. Return the sausage and peppers to the skillet and season everything with seasoning blend of choice. Stir well, cover and cook for 6-8 minutes or until pierogies are warmed through and veggies are as soft as you like. Optionally you can add a splash of water to deglaze any fond off the bottom of your pan. Serve family style in the skillet, garnished with hot sauce, sour cream, fresh herbs or any other garnishes that you like.
