Busting myths on UK-EU relations | Celebrating Impact

It's hard to think of a decision that's divided Britain more than Brexit. In this video, we show how, in just 18 months, Professor Anand Menon and his team have created the go-to place for authoritative and impartial information and analysis on the UK’s relationship with the #EU. The ESRC set up the 'UK in a Changing Europe' to bring academics and policymakers together, including leaders in the field of EU law and migration, to share the real facts and figures behind Brexit. The aim was to show the media, politicians, civil servants and the public that social science is both useful and interesting and that it has a role to play in informing public policy and public debate. 'Of all the things we've done, one of the things I'm most proud of is the fact that we're now a team, in a way I've never been a team in academia before because we've travelled the length and breadth of the country together.'
