Libretro Cores Quick Look - Beetle PSX HW texture replacement! (Vulkan-only)

A proof-of-concept demonstration of Beetle PSX HW's Vulkan renderer running Chrono Cross on RetroArch with injected custom textures. These textures are courtesy of a modder that applied AI machine learning tools to upscale the textures offline. These textures are then put into a folder and fed back into the game. The end result that you can see here is effectively a 'HD remaster' of an old 1999 PS1 game that has no business looking this good. Hopefully this is only the beginning for PS1 texture packs. You can get this core right now from our buildbot in order to sample this.
