All 22 grade crossings I have filmed with all incandescent gate lights and no LED gate lights whatsoever. Long Island Railroad started installing LED gate lights later than most railroads as the LIRR used only incandescent gate lights until 2015, and all grade crossings' gate lights were all incandescent until late August 2015. The first NEG Alstom LED gate lights ever installed on the Long Island Railroad were installed at Grant Ave in Deer Park/Bay Shore, NY on the Ronkonkoma mainline in August 2015 on the south roadway signal. Ever since filming the 22 all incandescent gate light crossings in the video, 10 of these crossings have had gate barriers replaced to LED except for one at W Rogues Path in Huntington Station, NY in 2025 with another brand new NEG incandescent barrier. Out of 22 grade crossings I have filmed with all incandescent gate lights, only 13 of them still retain all incandescent gate lights. 1 on the Oyster Bay Branch, 7 on the Montauk Branch, 3 on Greenport Branch (Mainline), and 2 on the Port Jeff Branch, which the ones in the video (W Rogues Path, and Parkside Dr (fenced off) are the only 2 left on the Port Jefferson Branch. W Rogues Path is the very last crossing on an LIRR electrified line to retain all incandescent gate lights and no LED gate lights. While there is 41 crossings in Suffolk left with no LED gate lights, only 2 Nassau County crossings remain with all incandescent gate lights with Elm Ave in Glen Cove, and the parking lot crossing in Garden City.
