"Skills are the new currency of the Future" | Dinesh Pathak | TEDxIETLucknow

In his talk, the speaker addresses the growing crisis of "degree factories" that leave millions of youth unemployed. He argues that while a degree serves as a qualifying milestone, it lacks the practical skills required by modern industry. Pathak emphasizes a shift toward identifying one's "internal spark"—a curiosity or passion for solving problems—and refining it into a tangible impact through 90 days of dedicated skill building. Mr. Dinesh Pathak is a senior journalist as well as a career counselor. His first book, 'Bas Thoda Saa' based on the upbringing of children, has been made and aired by Doordarshan Uttar Pradesh as a TV show. Mr. Pathak, who served as editor of the Hindustan newspaper on multiple locations throughout North India, is giving a solution to a problem facing the new generation of the country, which is usually less talked about. Mr. Pathak believes that the younger generation in the country is meritorious & if they used their talent positively for just a little bit, then their own life would change, the country would undergo a complete change and if they did just a little bit negatively, the problems would increase immensely and it would be difficult to handle. That is why he left mainstream journalism and moved the process of connecting through his 'Bas Thoda Saa' campaign.
