In this episode, we’re joined by Dr Jennifer Coller cardiologist and founder of Connected Cardiology and Pulse Point Academy, to explore women’s heart health, cardiovascular inequities, and access to care in regional Australia. We unpack why heart disease in women is often under-recognised and misdiagnosed, how symptoms can present differently, and the conditions that disproportionately affect women, including Takotsubo cardiomyopathy and SCAD. Dr Coller also shares how telehealth and clinician education are helping close the gap in early detection and outcomes. This episode is a call to action for women to advocate for their health and for the healthcare system to better recognise and respond to women’s cardiovascular risk. In this episode, we dive into: Why women’s heart disease is often missed, misdiagnosed, or treated too late How symptoms, hormones, and menopause change cardiovascular risk in women Women-specific conditions including Takotsubo cardiomyopathy and SCAD The mental and emotional impact of cardiac events in women How women can advocate for better care and earlier diagnosis Follow me on: Instagram: Heartcore.group YouTube: HeartCore Junction Email: [info@heartcoregroup.com](mailto:info@heartcoregroup.com) Web: heartcoregroup.com
