Steam Shuttles in the Inner East Suburbs Union Shuttles 2025 Steamrail K153 & K190 Hello all, Welcome to a Victorian heritage video. Today we are back out for some steam shuttles, travelling east again. Steamrail Victoria brought out a pair of K class locomotives to haul their Union Steam Shuttles. The shuttles ran from Union Station in Surrey Hills to Flinders Street Station on an approximately 50-minute round trip. K class locomotives K153 & K190 took charge this time with a consist of seven wooden E-type carriages. We capture the train at various stations and a few overpasses between that section, beginning at Glenferrie for the transfer and ending off in the city. This trip was one of the more popular suburban shuttle tours, which saw the train operate locally on Melbourne's metropolitan train network.
