South West Coast Path Day 1 of 7 -100 miles Plymouth to Penzance

Hey everyone. After a pretty rough few months and some events and people causing to me to question my beliefs, self and future, I had to get out and hike. I set myself the goal of hiking 7 days in a row with only my rucksack and tent - something I've never done before. This wasn't about big miles, this was about being on the trail. I was allowed campsites, b&bs whatever I wanted but I had to wild camp at least once. Day one was walking the South West Coast Path from Plymouth to Downderry where a pub allowed me to pitch my tent in their garden with a few other campers - AMAZING!!!! It was hot, I ran out of water and felt in trouble but I managed the situation by pausing to stop, taking shelter and letting my body cool down and heart rate drop before pushing on in a dehydrated state. I met some lovely people along the way but I soon learnt (in my inexperience of coast path hiking) that 20miles of coast path, is NOT the same as 20 miles of inland hiking.
