The ride experience on these Zamperla Volare flying coasters is renowned for being quite rough, painful and generally unpleasant, especially when compared to their far superior B&M counterparts. However, it's in the innovation department where this ride really excels, as guests board the single car trains by means of a ladder, then ascend a rare 'sprial lift' system (which looks a bit like a slush puppy machine)! This ride is located in the 'Scream Zone' section of the Coney Island area, which contains Soarin' Eagle along with another other coaster, Steeplechase along with a few other rides, which is owned and operated by ride manufacturer Zamperla. However, unlike the independent vendor of Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, the Scream Zone is technically considered part of Luna Park. This is because ride tokens from Luna Park are also valid at Scream Zone, making it a subdivision of the larger Luna Park. However, the Coney Island area remains a confusing aggregation of multiple parks operating in the same area.
