There are over 15 pairs of muscles that move your hip joints. Most people will have dysfunctional strength and soft tissue qualities that result in a reduced range of motion in addition to pain, soreness, and tension. This also means there will be a lack of lubrication in parts of the joint capsule. Luckily, the Windshield Wiper will help to both stretch and activate dysfunctional tissues, as well as lubricate the joint capsule by pumping synovial fluid throughout. It’s a dynamic mobilizing stretch that you can’t leave home without (literally). Setup + Cues Sit on butt with knees up at approximately 90 degrees Feet should be wider than shoulders Lean back slightly and keep torso tall by propping up on straight arms Wipe legs side to side within YOUR range of motion and push the walls of your range with each passing rep Don’t worry if you can’t reach the floor, most people can’t Keep both glutes on the floor throughout the drill ————— Questions?
