A nice and chilled vocal warm up routine to cool that voice down | MusicForMy... VOICE

I admit that I not the best at following my own advice (is anybody?!) And this is just that. For exactly like you would do cool down stretches after exercise we really should cool our voices down after a good sing. Our voices are a set of muscles afterall. What cooling our voices down will do is to reset it, to bring it back to a neutral talking position. It will have moved all over the place while singing and so this is about getting it back to centre. Not necessarily super exciting but something very good to do! In this video we start with breathing exercises to get our breath back in check. We then do some lovely lip bubbles as our SOVT (semi-occluded vocal tract) exercise to five note scales. Next we alternate between the vowels OOH and EEE to a building scale before singing a WOAHH vowel sliding up a fifth and singing down the scale. Then we swoop up an octave on a MAY vowel and sing down the chromatic scale (i.e. all the notes!) before finishing with a final breathing exercise. And then our voice is noce and chill!
