Recipe for Buttermilk Biscuits Preheat the oven to 415 degrees before your round up all the ingredients because preheating the oven takes the longest. 2 cups of all-purpose flour 1 TBSP of Baking Powder ½ Tsp Salt 1/3 cup butter at room temperature 2 ½ TBSP honey ¾ cup of buttermilk Put all of the dry ingredients into a bowl and add the butter, cutting it into the dry ingredients until well incorporated. Add the honey and stir it in well. Last add the buttermilk (if you do not have buttermilk on hand you can sour ¾ of a cup of regular milk with a tsp of vinegar or lemon juice). Stir just until the flour is mostly incorporated and then turn out onto a floured surface and just bring it all together, flatten to about 1 inch or 1 ½ if you like them higher, but you will have to add additional time. I cook them for 12 to 14 minutes until they are golden brown. You don’t want to overcook them because they become dry, so really watch them. Enjoy! Sausage Gravy 1 pound of sausage of your choice ¼ cup flour 2 cups of milk Optionally, I add ¼ tsp each of garlic powder, garlic powder and smoked paprika. Brown the sausage in the pan until it is cooked through. Dust on the flour and spices, and mix until all the flour has been absorbed. Slowly add the milk, stirring well between each addition. Once you have used all the milk, allow the pan to come back to the boil and bubble for 2 minutes before serving. www.vecteezy.com/video/2041721-drinking-coffee-and-reading-book-concept Drinking Coffee and Reading Book Concept.
