In this episode, I had the opportunity to work with Margo, a 13-year-old French player with a great all-round game and feel for the ball. We identified that at times Margo struggles to take the ball early, and can have an erratic serve. First we worked on getting Margo’s base position and footwork right ahead of making a shot, before loosening up her wrist. The outcome was a vastly improved forehand! Then, we dug into Margo’s serve, and worked on getting her alignment and racquet speed drawing power from the right places in her service motion.
