Sunday Worship 11/28/21 Advent 1 - Greening of the Church

November 28 2021 On-Line service of worship for the Longmeadow Congregational Church, UCC. For the First Sunday of Advent My name is Pastor Ruth of the Longmeadow Church and I post a special message for the children of our church every Wednesday as well as a message every Sunday for Family Worship. Today we begin a new season and a new church year with the First Sunday of Advent, the time of expectant waiting and preparation for the coming of the infant Jesus, Emmanuel, God With Us. For several years our church has marked this day by gathering together in worship to prepare our sanctuary for the season, a service we call The Greening of the Church, which we celebrate this day. In addition, throughout the season this year, we are going to be talking each week about how our church can be The Inn, a place where there is never No More Room, and how we can create new doors in and new ways of being the church outside the walls of our building. Today we will talk about a project that is dear to our hearts Scarves in the Park.
