HEADLINE: Ventura: Man transported to hospital in critical condition after being shot Sunday evening in the area of Azahar Street and Alelia Avenue. CAPTION: 5-29-22 Saticoy 5:33PM Ventura County Sheriff, Ventura City Fire, and AMR paramedics responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Azahar Street and Alelia Avenue. Units located a shooting victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported in critical condition to a local trauma center. Ventura County Sheriff taped off the area for the investigation. A car show was also in the area of the shooting. Deputies located a male that was possibly involved on Violeta and Los Angeles Avenue. Authorities were able to take the subject into custody without incident. Copter 3 was also hovering over the area in search of any additional involved vehicles in the area. Per the radio deputies stated the victim was shot in the face however that remains under investigating. No further information is available. Ventura County Sheriff is investigating.
