Mrs.Vahchef is very fond of cooking and her Recipes are very unique and fit for busy women specially working women Biryani, sometimes spelled Biriyani or Biriani. Radish dumpling biryani is made with spices, rice and radish dumpling. Radish gives nice flavour to biryani. INGREDIENTS: Basmati rice 1 cup Salt To taste Radish(grated) 1 cup Paneer(grated) 1 cup Corn meal flour 1 tbs Oil 4-6 tsp Black cumin seeds ½ tsp Biryani phool 1 nos Cinnamon stick 1 piece Cardamom 1 nos Cloves 4 nos Star anise 1 nos Bay leaf 1 nos Green chillies 3 nos Onions 1 nos Ginger garlic paste ½ tsp Turmeric powder ¼ tsp Mint leaves 1 bunch Coriander leaves ½ bunch Tomato 1 nos Yogurt ½ cup Red chilly powder 1 tsp Cumin powder ¼ tsp Coriander powder ½ tsp METHOD: 1. Soak basmati rice in water for 30 mins. Cook it with salt until it is 90 percent done. 2. Strain water and keep aside. 3. Squeeze out moisture from radish and keep in a plate. 4. To it add grated paneer, salt and mix it. 5. For binding add cornmeal flour and mix it. Take small dumpling and make round balls and keep aside. 6. In same oil in a pan and shallow fry the radish balls to golden in colour and transfer into a plate. 7. Heat oil in a pan, add black cumin seeds, biryani phool, cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves, star anise, bay leaf, green chillies, onions, salt, ginger garlic paste and saute it. 8. To it add turmeric powder, mint leaves, coriander leaves, tomato, yogurt and saute it for a 1 min. 9. Add red chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, squeezed out water of radish. 10. Once moisture is slightly evaporated add arrange radish balls, spread rice as a layer. 11. Top it with mint leaves, place lid and cook it for 10 to 15 mins, until it is done. 12. Now the hot radish dumpling biryani is ready to serve.
