Higher education admissions processes face persistent challenges related to document authenticity, prolonged verification timelines, and safeguarding applicant privacy. As global application volumes increase, institutions require secure, transparent, and efficient systems capable of ensuring trust among multiple stakeholders. While decentralized university frameworks and blockchain-enabled document verification platforms have emerged, many lack consortium-based governance models and explicit mechanisms for privacy-preserving cryptographic validation tailored to multi-institution admission workflows. This project proposes the Consortium-Smart Chain with Privacy-Preserving Verification (CSPV) framework, developed as a full-stack web application using Python and the Django framework in accordance with IEEE academic standards. The system integrates a permissioned blockchain ledger with smart contract enforcement to manage admission-related business logic. CSPV employs cryptographic hashing techniques to generate tamper-proof certificate hash blocks stored on an immutable distributed ledger. Sensitive applicant data is protected through selective disclosure mechanisms using hash commitments and off-chain storage references, ensuring privacy while enabling verifiable document audits. Smart contracts automate validation workflows, enforce institutional rules, and maintain transparent audit trails. The architecture supports secure document uploads, administrative verification dashboards, and multi-stakeholder validation processes within a consortium-based trust environment. Designed strictly for academic and research purposes, this project demonstrates applied blockchain integration, privacy-preserving verification, and full-stack web deployment for secure and transparent educational admissions management systems.
