Unboxing Mann Lake Bee Hive For those of you that have been following our channel; you know that we are getting bees this coming spring. We received a beehive with 2 hive bodies and 2 supers for Christmas. It is pretty much a hive ready to go. We are newbies to bees and neither one of us has ever seen a beehive in all its pieces before so we decided to bring you guys along while we unboxed it to see all the different pieces and what you can expect if you order a hive from Mann Lake. The hives come in various types, we chose the hive that is a 10-frame hive. We are pretty excited and can’t wait to begin our beekeeping journey! Our bees are ordered and we will be able to pick them up in the spring. April 23rd to be exact. We went with Italians as they are supposed to be more docile than the Russians. The bees at the feeder at the beginning of the video are native bees. I would love to catch those possibly in a swarm trap this coming year.
