Mohawk to Big Chief to Lower Mohawk is a ski run of varying difficulties located at Berkshire East Mountain Resort. The trails run from the summit of the mountain, down to the base area. The run starts off to the left when unloading the chairlift on Mohawk, an intermediate trail. The trail is narrow and flat, eventually coming to an intersection with Big Chief. At the time of this recording, the middle section of Mohawk was not yet open, so I instead had to take a section of Big Chief, which is also an intermediate trail. The trail eventually curves to the left into a steep but short drop before flattening out and curving slightly to the right. Eventually, Lower Mohawk, a beginner trail, exits to the right off of the trail. Lower Mohawk is flat and narrow, running straight before making a 90-degree turn to the left and running straight from there until it reaches the base area. Berkshire East Mountain Resort is a ski resort located in Charlemont, Massachusetts. The ski area is situated right off of State Route 2 in the northern Berkshire Mountains in Western Franklin county. The ski area is located about an hour drive north of Springfield and about a 2h 15min drive west of Boston. With just under 200 acres of skiing, Berkshire East is the second-largest ski area in Massachusetts in terms of skiable area and with a vertical of 1,200 feet, it is the tallest ski area in the state. The ski area is known for its small, local, and family-friendly vibe, providing a large variety of mostly groomed terrain for all skill levels from the same peak. The resort also has tubing in the winter and a large bike park, ziplines, and one of the best mountain coasters I've ever ridden in the summer. The ski resort is family-owned, owned by the same family which also owns Catamount, which is also located partially in Massachusetts, with the rest being located in New York. The resort is an Indy Pass member, granting pass holders two days at the resort.
