Suns out! Time to dig out the soul drenched DnB bangers... Loads of the liquid mixes you find online are very polite, very clean digital mixes, and no doubt they have a place. But with this mix, I wanted to show another side, where soulful DnB isnt just a pleasant soundtrack for holiday snaps or retro video game footage - the kind of Liquid made by pioneers like Marcus Intalex, Calibre, High Contrast, D Bridge and the rest was always made for the dancefloor first and foremost. The tracks are deep, emotional and melodic, but they're also lively as f*ck and absolutely slap..! I used to be a regular at Movement at Bar Rumba, and I can feel DJ Marky's influence throughout this mix, don't think I'm ever going to match his skills (you need to watch him play if you haven't, a true master technician) but hopefully I've tapped into his style of mashing beautiful melodies with rowdy drums...
