Filmed on Friday, December 12, 2025 in Piteå, and later in the evening in Älvsbyn. Piteå is located along the coast in Norrbotten County, between Skellefteå and Luleå. There has been no passenger traffic to the town since 1972, but the Pitebanan from Älvsbyn is frequently used by freight trains. In this video you will see some of the traffic that passes through central Piteå, recorded on a crisp winter day with minus 14 degrees. You will also get to know the surroundings of the city, as well as the bus station that today acts as a travel center. At the end of the video there are also some clips from Älvsbyn, which is located along the Main Line through upper Norrland. Travelers who travel by train to and from Piteå can advantageously travel there, for onward travel by bus. The vehicles seen in the video are Rd2, Rc6, locomotive 185, locomotive 241, locomotive 441, Td and T43. The T43 is transported all the way from Nässjö to be used for switching in Piteå, and the three carriages were picked up on the road in Bastuträsk.
