Redcat University - Brushless ESC Calibration

In this RCU Tech Video - we are going to demonstrate our Brushless ESC calibration process. This process works on all of the RedCat Racing brushless models. This might be necessary on some RC vehicles from time to time. It will also be good to do this on a vehicle that has the ESC replaced or upgraded. First set your controller throttle trim to zero. "TH. TRIM" NEXT - Hold the SET button - this is the button next to the on/off switch. Then switch on the ESC, and release the SET button as soon as possible. This should make the ESC LED flash and you should hear a beeping sound. 1) Move the throttle stick at the neutral (Meaning the middle where it rests) point, and then click the SET key, the green LED flashes 1 time and you will hear 1 beep. 2) Move the throttle stick at the endpoint of forwarding direction, and then click the SET key, the green LED flashes 2 times and you will hear 2 beeps. 3) Move the throttle stick at the endpoint of backward direction, and then click the SET key, the green LED flashes 3 times and beep 3 times. Throttle range is now calibrated; the motor can be started after about 3 seconds. A good practice is to turn the vehicle and remote off then turn them back on to make sure the calibration stays in the ESC system.
