We loaded into Fortnite Zero Build trios thinking it was about to be a chill pub stomp. It was not. From the second we dropped, it felt like we accidentally queued into FNCS Grand Finals. Every team rotating like they’re on payroll. Nobody missing shots. Nobody overpeeking. Just disciplined, laser-beam, zero-build demons. Boogie lands, immediately getting keyed by a trio that clearly warms up in KovaaK’s. I’m scrambling for floor loot like it’s a Black Friday sale, yelling “I cracked one!” (I did not crack one). T-West is calmly comming angles while I’m 40 HP behind a tree questioning my life decisions. Mid-game? Absolute cardio simulator. Rotate. Third party. Get third partied while third partying. Shield count permanently at “not enough.” Boogie’s doing solid damage, T-West is trying to hold it together, and I’m contributing emotional support and occasional suppressing fire that suppresses absolutely nothing. By the time we hit moving zones, it’s pure chaos. Five teams boxed up behind rocks and ridges like it’s ranked cash cup finals. Boogie goes down trying to make a hero play. I follow shortly after because apparently I think ego-challing a full trio with an SMG and a dream is a good idea. That leaves T-West. 1v3. He actually makes it look doable. Cracks one. Downs another. Repositions like a Zero Build professor. But in the end it’s just too many angles, too much pressure, and not enough help from his two fallen teammates spectating and offering absolutely useless comms. Second place. A respectable finish in what felt like a ranked sweat lobby from start to finish. T-West did everything he could. Boogie held his own. And me? I was there.
