Reimala shares the challenges and experiences of staff and students during the pandemic that culminated in an initiative to build a sense of belonging for a student community in a blended environment. Reimala uses a more personalised approach to cultivate meaningful connections, communication, and collaboration with students as partners in promoting the student voice in an undergraduate programme. Reimala is a teaching-focussed lecturer and award winning Programme Director of BSc (Hons) Accounting at Alliance Manchester Business School. As a digital champion and advocate for innovative approaches in teaching, Reimala embraces a broad range of digital tools to empower students to become autonomous learners. She will draw on her professional skills of being an accountant to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
