Ingredients: Muthira/Horse Gram - Half cup Dry roast Muthira in a pan for 5 minutes on medium flame stirring continously. Wash thoroughly. Pressure cook adding 1.5 cups water and pinch of salt for 5 whistles till soft and done. Coconut Oil - 1 tablespoon Mustard seeds - half teaspoon Crushed garlic - 1 teaspoon Crushed shallots - 1 tablespoon Crushed chillies - 1 teaspoon Curry Leaves Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon Chilli powder - half teaspoon Grated coconut - Half cup Salt - half teaspoon Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add crushed garlic and crushed shallots. Fry for 1 minute on medium flame. Add crushed chillies and curry leaves. Fry for 30 seconds. Add turmeric powder and chilli powder. Fry for few seconds. Add cooked muthira/horse gram and add half teaspoon salt. Mix well. Add grated coconut and mix well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes on low flame. Open lid and fry till dry. Switchoff. Enjoy with rice !
