Boy holding up picture of Abu Ali Mustafa STORYLINE: Israeli helicopters fired two rockets at the office of a senior Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) leader Monday, killing him in what Israel said was a pinpointed attack in retaliation for several bombings. The Palestinians said Israel was waging "all-out war" against them. The man killed was Mustafa Zibri, widely known as Abu Ali Mustafa. At the time of the helicopter attack, Zibri was sitting at his desk in his second-floor Ramallah apartment which doubled as PFLP headquarters. He was the leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a radical PLO faction that opposes peace talks with Israel. He was the highest-ranking Palestinian official killed in a Israeli assassination attack. Doctors said Zibri's body was torn apart in the attack. The missiles blew out two corner windows, and smoke blackened the facade.
