Episode 108 On Saturday November 30th, we picked up two Belgian Draft horse geldings and a Percheron gelding from almost shipping to slaughter from Bowie Texas Livestock. We did a fundraiser for these three horses and because of your supported their lives were saved! The two Belgian Draft horses seemed to be in good condition however the Percheron was a different story. He is a senior horse probably about 22 years old and in rough shape. We got him medical attention and started him on the road to recovery and a happy retirement life! This video is when we picked everyone up from Bowie Texas Livestock, their complete freedom ride, name reveals and how they are doing since arriving at the farm. Also, included in this video is everything else happening on the farm! Since September, our herd has grown by 37! We are now caring for 62 horses and 5 donkeys! Never would I have thought that our small farm would have grown into this amazing retirement home for retired Belgian Draft horses. As a growing horse rescue group, we rely on monetary donations to keep the organization moving forward.
