One of the most important places for any military is where they test their new weapons and defenses. Outside Berlin lies a huge abandoned testing ground, this is where Von Brauns tested their rockets and motors before moving to Peenemunde. Also this is where the first nuclear reactor was located. A thick forest full of targets, test forts, bunkers and rocket test stands. and of course things we dont know what is and un-exploded munitions. Over the years I have taken you to many of these, but there is so much more, and today I was in for several surprises, things I did not think still existed or was ever constructed and one particular gem of fortress construction I never thought had survived here. We are going to the oldest rocket test stand first and than we are taking a walk through the test forts ... or... well you will see.
