Tosho Knife Arts is a brick-and-mortar store in Toronto specializing in handmade Japanese kitchen knives and sharpening services. Our goal is to offer unique, high-performing tools to culinary and cutlery aficionados to enrich their cooking experience. Link to the Kasumi Powder: https://www.toshoknifearts.com/produc... This is our proprietary powder blend of Japanese Natural Stones (medium and fine grit) and synthetic ingredients. This powder was developed by our very own Ivan Gomez Fonseca (@toshoworks, co-owner of Tosho Knife Arts) through hours of painstaking labour. Included with the powder is a fine abrasive 3M sponge to be used with the powder. This product is good for people that own Japanese knives with the desire to restore the original Kasumi finish on their blades (or people that want to experiment with other blades) after the surface has been prepared correctly (free of sandy rust). So when should I use this product? When the Kasumi finish on your blade has degraded to a point where you are no longer satisfied with its appearance or you want to experiment with blades that do not have a Kasumi finish. Disclaimer: As you are using this powder to refinish your blade, be mindful not to go over the edge of your knife as this will result in dulling the blade. Check out our tutorial video on how to use this magical powder! Brand: Tosho Knife Arts Product Type: Natural Stone Powder Size: 40g
