You might already know that mountains are one of my favourite subjects to paint in watercolour, and in this video, I’m returning to painting an alpine scene that makes me long to stand in front of a snow-capped mountain, in awe… You will see how I build a simple but balanced composition based on strong tonal value contrast, leading lines, and just a handful of strategically placed elements. There will be a few risks taken along the way, some near-misses, and some spontaneous decisions - all part of the joy of painting.
