Painting snow-capped mountains in watercolour never fails to entertain, surprise, and teach me new things. This painting started out quite well, but then everything almost got derailed when it was almost complete, thanks to my careless use of a very opaque colour. Thankfully, I managed to save this sunny scene, plus I learned something new along the way. There are no guarantees I won't fall into a similar trap in my future work, but I appreciate the value of these mishaps all the same.
