In today’s episode, we will be talking to Mr. Richard Harvie; Managing Director of Harvie & Hudson, a third generation shirt maker/ tailors of the world famous Jermyn Street, London, about the power of bold colours. Bold colours are extremely important and if your not confident in combining colours, then it’s a good idea to come to see us at Harvie and Hudson, where we will make you look handsome for every occasion. Simply Handsome 247: How important are colours when dressing? Harvey & Hudson: If you’re not confidant about colour there is a thing called the "colour wheel", the colour wheel is an extremely good system. For instance; you wouldn’t think orange will go with blue, but look it up on the colour wheel and it’s right there. Simply Handsome 247: Why are primary colours important? Harvey & Hudson: We’ve always loved primary colours, when they go out of trend it’s difficult for us, because we like to use bold red, green and electric blue. Gentlemen’s dressing can get very boring, a grey suit, blue or maybe a check, but there isn’t much you can do with that; whereby if you decide to put a bright green shirt with it- it completely zaps up your look. One thing people don’t understand is that you don’t have to combine a plan colour with a strip. Sometimes it’s fun to clash the designs of shirt to tie, so to look simply handsome. Simply Handsome 247: What are your top tips for fashion, style, creativity for men? Harvey & Hudson: 1. Make sure your shirts are ironed properly before leaving your home. 2.
