Hidden Paradise At The Zapatilla Islands (DJs Dives)

Follow us along on this adventure where we finally pull up the anchor and set sail away from the Bocas Del Toro area. After a month and a half of being in the area we are really excited to embark on a new journey. Our first stop on this sailing adventure is an overnight stay at the Zapatilla islands. These islands are protected by the local tribe, so we are very excited to hop into the water to see the beautiful corals and aquatic life. Once we get in the water we are really excited to finally have some clear water and healthy corals. The waters in Bocas were always a bit murky due to the heavy rain falls, so we really enjoy ourselves while snorkeling around these islands. After being in the water for a while we find a few sleepy nurse sharks hiding out under ledges, and then venture off into deeper waters. Once we get to the deeper water we find the most amazing swim throughs. We all take turns going through the underwater caves and spend a few hours there testing our skills.
