After a long time without a lyric video and without a Blur edit, I bring you Ghost Ship, now readapted to Plastic Beach! For the background of this video, we go back to November 2024, with my first edit of a Blur song: My Terracotta Heart. Since that video, I've used samples of the percussion from Plastic Beach in a song from the hiatus between Plastic Beach and Humanz. From then on, I decided to do the same with other Blur songs (specifically from The Magic Whip, which is from 2015), and to date, the last song from that album I edited was Ong Ong (in the Gorillaz feat. Amy Winehouse recreation). In total, I want to dedicate an edit to the following songs: My Terracotta Heart (Done, but needs a Remake) Thought I Was A Spaceman (Almost Done) There Are To Many Of Us Ghost Ship (Done) In this edit, I used the percussion from Superfast Jellyfish and WTTWOTPB as a reference, and it's noticeable right from the start. This is because the beat of Ghost Ship is quite similar to that of Superfast Jellyfish (even the guitars in the song are very similar). And to enhance the Plastic Beach feel, I decided to add a song from that era: Heavenly Peach Banquet. Since the rhythm is similar to Ghost Ship and has all the electronic essence of Plastic Beach, it's PERFECT for these edits. I hope you enjoyed this edit as much as I enjoyed creating it. More Blur edits and recreations of the Plastic Beach teasers are coming soon! Disclaimer: The songs used in this video aren't mine. All rights reserved to EMI, XL Recordings and Blur.
