Ever wondered what happens to all the snow on the streets in the Japanese mountains? This is my life snow clearing in Myoko Japan. This video has the winter spirit with people working together! ❄️ This is what it looks like for the residents of Myoko. When the snow gets to around 10cm of settled snow the snow removal team will be on alert. When do they come exactly? We don’t know. It’s a job that’s done at this time as the streets need to be cleared for people to be able to leave for work and school in the mornings. We are notified only by hearing the heavy machinery pull up in the early hours. The first sweep of the street is usually enough to shake us awake. We need to quickly become alert as this is our chance to rid of the snow that’s building up on our property. It’s taken to the allocated areas along the streets for piling the snow. This is the 3rd night (early morning) of this event. Imagine waking up at this time and running outside into the cold to clear snow. Could you do this in your daily life during winter? The people living here are something special. 50 years ago these machines and equipment didn’t exist.
