Turn on captions for some extra comments. New doujin shmup that came out recently on Steam and Switch. Cute little game that has a ton of different shots, bombs and settings, as well as secrets. There's also a collaboration going on with Mecha Ritz and Gekidan Machina. Bosses from those games can be found in this in the form of secret bosses. Just like those games this game was also made with STGBuilder. There's an Arcade mode consisting of five stages as well as an Extra stage and two boss rush modes. The practice mode in this is pretty neat actually. The stages are divided into segments and you get a bronze, silver or gold star depending on how well you did the segment. Reminds me a bit of the M2 Arcade Challenge modes. The parts you want to practice, the midbosses, you can't directly practice though. So that's kinda a swing and a miss. Game manual: https://i.imgur.com/iHF2Pvo.png As for secrets, every boss and midboss has a secret ALL BREAK bonus. These kinda resemble the break bonuses from Blue Revolver, you need to do specific things in order to trigger them. Usually it's as obvious as just "destroy all the parts" but sometimes it isn't. Depending on no-miss or break bonuses you also take different routes through the stages. I'm not actually sure how you trigger the secret bosses. I triggered the Mecha Ritz boss once but I have no idea how I did it lol. The game has a ton of different shots and bombs but the balance seems kinda nonexistent? Arm is like the best shot by a million miles. It's super strong and it can cancel bullets too. It's by far the best shot for survival and scoring. It plays very differently in that you punch bullets to cancel them into items. Hyper seemed the best to me too since it gives you two screen cancels for the price of one. One for activating it and one for manually cancelling it. Scoring is mostly destruction, break bonuses, getting items from cancels and speed bonuses. There's also some score to be gotten from no-miss bonuses. Arm gets a ton of extra score from all the bullet cancelling. Buy the game on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/14...
